This is the 6th tutorial in this Kutch embroidery tutorial series. The motif we will be learning here is called Maltese cross.
This motif has a central square that has a square attached to each of it’s 4 corners.
Draw this grid pattern on a piece of paper and keep it handy when reading this tutorial. This will spare you the trouble of having to scroll up and down.
Follow the pattern on the chart. We start the stitch at 1 and end it at 12.
Pass needle under thread while exiting the square.
Starting grid for next square.
Grid complete now.
Weaving through green and purple threads.

The interlacing thread ends where it began.
