This colorful rainbow paper ball is easy to make and can be used as a Christmas tree ornament. This project is ideal for kids in the 3 – 6 years old age group.
Draw circles on paper and cut them. I used paper that we bought from IKEA (Mala series).
The paper was thick enough for craft work and yet not too thick. So kids could cut it easily using a pair of scissors. I loved the bright colors too.
This craft requires the use of glue so choose a paper that will not become soggy easily.
Fold the circles into half and press them so they will stay folded.
Apply glue to one side and stick two circles like shown in the picture.
Continue to glue the paper circles
Then glue a string or baby ribbon near the folded edges.
Once the glue has secured the ribbon, glue the two sides facing one another to form a sphere shape.
Colorful paper Christmas tree ornament is ready. You can spray it with glitter paint or glue some glitter or shiny squares if you want.
